Tasted at the BridgePort Brewing Co./Brewpub in Portland, OR on 06/15/06.
Clear dark brown to almost black in color with a nice beige head. Decent carbonation and light lace. Nice roasty malt and light coffee aromas and flavors. The flavor was not quite as robust as the aroma but it was nice enough. Light-medium bodied (but a bit on the light side) with some light chocolate on the finish.
The server didn't know much about the beer (incl. the name) but he did mention it was a specially brewed Black Lager. Well worth a try.
