A powerful hoppy, funky, strong punch. Powerfully hoppy to the point it takes over the beer and it tastes like it's in your mouth.
Taste rating in words: A big punch in the face.

22oz bottle of BridgePort Brewing's "Our original IPA wet hopped India pale ale". The reverse identifies the Featured hop as "Idaho 7". The beer itself pours incredibly clouded, with a sickly, orange amber color. Aroma is nil. Maybe unfiltered IPA should have gotten top billing? So far, I am not impressed, which surprises me since I really like BridgePort's regular original IPA (non-wet-hop). Ok, the flavor. Meh. It's got a very modest bite, well within American single IPA proportions, a dry finish, and a little bit of pine character across the back of my palate. It's drinkable, but it's not interesting enough to be sessionable. Overall I am not impressed.
