Pours a clear burgundy with a finger of khaki foam. Head retention is fair to poor. Aroma is booze - right out front. Rye, caramel, toffee, and toasted malts fill it out, with the rye keeping the aroma staccato. Flavor profile is caramel, toffee, molasses and toasted malts. Rye barrel shows itself again, cutting the flavor profile short and preventing any excessive ringing or lingering of flavors. Mouth feel is light fizz, within a semi-flat and thin liquid. Overall, pretty dry and narrow.
