With flavor as big a the cave itself, Mammoth White Ale is our take on a Belgium style wheat ale. Brewed with flaked wheat, coriander, and orange peel, this brew drinks light and refreshing. Unfiltered for an optimal depth of flavor, it boast of naturally cloudy appearance with a light golden hue. Slight hop notes come from Hallertau and Saaz added to the boil.

12 fl oz pull-tab can nabbed in sixer format at A's Wine & Spirits, Bartlesville, Oklahoma for $9.18 USD plus tax.

"Unfiltered wheat ale with orange peel & coriander."

Competent for what it is, hitting on the requisite notes of coriander, orange peel, and wheat, but it doesn't boast impressive depth of flavour and doesn't taste horribly fresh. I do think the orange peel finds a nice balance between bitter orange peel and sweet orange peel, and the beer overall is quite well balanced.

Probably better than Blue Moon or similar, but no one will be ditching Allagash White for this even with this available for a lower price.

A serviceable wheat ale and a better witbier than I expected from a Kentucky brewery, but not top tier fare for what it is. Certainly drinkable, and a beer I could down multiple cans of in a single sitting.

For that session when both big and small are needed, Lexington Brewing Company provides a big collection of flavor in a smaller alcohol package. The Belgian-style Witbier just does that and LBC's example certainly follows suit.

Pale and cloudy golden-straw, Mammoth releases a creamy and cottony lather that teases with soft aromas of bread dough, citrus, honeysuckle, lavender and vanilla. Gentle on the tongue, the initial taste is smooth with cream, sourdough, sugar cookie and light starch.

As the wheat beer rolls across the middle palate, the sweetness and starch relaxes in order to favor the rise of citrus. Leading with orange and citron, hints of lemon, apple, pear and honeydew wash the tastebuds with fruit. Light with spice, the balance comes from hints of white pepper, paradise seed, coriander and lemongrass in a light and balancing bitterness.

Medium light in body, the fullness that wheat provides keeps the taste plump until the finish where the beer turns slightly minty with a hint of eucalyptus. A glimpse of white wine and cider come in a soft but crisp aftertaste.
