The pour is motor oil black with a tan & frothy head of carbonation. The taste is bourbon barrel oak, vanilla, & toasted almond. Moreover, the 10% abv is well hidden. Cheers! A-

Pours an effervescent chestnut/mahogany with a thumb+ of mocha head. Above average head retention & stellar lacing
S: Iron, coffee, cocoa, caramel. Cola notes once warmed up, faint booziness/Bourbon
T: Coffee, iron, roastyness & caramel up front, some oaky notes & the faint hint of sour mash up front. Some prickly booze once warmer, vanilla also surfaces and dances with plenty of coffee, some charred grain & oakyness. Finishes with plenty of coffee, some caramel, roastyness & a little caramel
MF: Medum body, fairly firm carbonation, pushes all the flavors along
This one vastly exceeded my expectations, not a ton of Bourbon involved here, but still a great take on the style. Their stronger beers are pleasing me as I stumble across them. Coffee forward & on point

On tap at Sweetwater Sports Bar, served in a stemmed tulip glass
The beer pours black with no visible highlights and about an inch of khaki head that recedes slowly leaving behind a small amount of lacing.
The aroma is dark chocolate, expresso. roasted malts, bourbon barrel, and vanilla.
The flavor, like the aroma, is chocolate, coffee, caramel, roasted malts, vanilla, bourbon barrel, and as bit of char. The beer is full bodied and moderately carbonated, with a silky finish
Overall, this is a very nice beer. Not as barrel forward as I would have expected

On draught.
A dark pour with a khaki head and splotches of lacing.
Roasted caramelized malt and bourbon on the nose and palate. Coffee, caramel , vanilla, hints of molasses.
A tasty bourbon barrel Stout, the anticipated booziness is well masked by flavor.

Purchased at Bound Beverage, Warrington, PA. $17.49, 4/pk 12oz bottles.
Pours a jet black color, totally opaque. A nice, one finger tan head on the initial pour into a goblet glass. Lots of sticky lacing left on the sides of the glassware.
Aromas of chocolate and bourbon.
A very tasty stout. A combination of dark chocolate, espresso, caramel and dark roasted malts with a slightly boozy bourbon flavor. The ABV is well hidden. Dry and slightly bitter aftertaste.
Creamy consistency with mild carbonation.
Overall, a well done and very tasty stout. The Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Series of stouts are usually very good and this is another top-north effort…cheers!

12oz bottle stamped 11-24-2025 (3 months old) poured into a tulip glass at fridge temp 10% ABV. The beer pours very dark brown with medium brown colored head and no light penetration. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a thick web of lacing. The aroma is mild with chocolate, toasted oak and a hint of bourbon. The taste is bittersweet roasted malt with more dark chocolate, toasted oak and faint bourbon. Medium bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium plus bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, very good. One of the better products I've had from this company.

Aroma is chocolate/chocolate mousse and marshmallows/hint of coconut. The flavor is chocolate/dark chocolate, marshmallows and a big roasted malt/bourbon alcohol finish.

Loved this beer and it got better as it warmed in the glass! Midnight black appearance with a cappuccino head and aromatics of bourbon, chocolate malt, espresso, vanilla, caramel and a touch of black currant on the nose. On the palate, dark chocolate, toasted marshmallow, roasted malts with a bittersweet, dry roasted and smooth finish. Especially smooth finish for a barrel-aged beer at 10% abv. Will 100% drink it again!

Pours dark chocolate black with a one and a half finger head of foam. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is nearly exactly the same as the aroma. The mouthfeel is moderate as well as the carbonation. A bit dry on the tongue but standard fair.
