On tap at San Marcos Brewery.
A: Yellow gold and transparent with a fleeting thin white cap.
S: Sweet biscuit and toasted bread with a little caramel. No alcohol.
T: Toasted bread with biscuit and cracker. Low bitterness and a touch of sweetness. Smooth toasted finish with a dash of caramel.
M: Light in body with upper moderate carbonation. Mouthfeel is dry and crisp.
Overall: A straight forward and refreshing Blond. Pretty enjoyable but not a lot going on.

22oz brown bottle purchased at the brewpub. 5.7% according to the label. Poured into a pounder glass it forms a solid 2 finger head. The head and retention on all of their offerings is very good but its usually the best part of the brew unfortunately. The jury is still out on this one though.
Smell: Once again quality control issues. The beer smells stale and has a wet musky towel aroma. Gotta review a bad beer if it is a constant theme and this was the case.
Taste is of doughy raw malts that are soft and without much of a balancer. There is a tabacco smell to this as well that is a turn off in a blonde ale. To continue would just be more of a burial. Avoid.
QC issues abound.

A nice clear golden body, but with no head nor lace. The nose is OK with strong bready notes. The flavor follows suit with a nice bready taste that is pretty nice on the palate. Clean and crisp feel with a good finish. Nice drinkability as it is neither heavy nor highly flavored.
