On tap at San Marcos Brewery.
A: Hazy yellow with a big frothy white head.
S: Banana and clove with sweet lemon and orange notes. Lightly grainy with bubblegum and perfumy floral characteristics
T: Lots of orange with some lemon and clove. There's a touch bubblegum and grain. The beer is pretty sweet.
M: Light body with high carbonation.
Overall: A little too sweet for my taste, but not bad.

I entered this as a spring seasonal since I was there in the spring and the beer is not even listed on their website. Remarkably this is the best offering I've had from this brewery and alot of that had to due with freshness. This tasted very fresh. Poured into a tulip it forms a whispy white head and has a cloudy golden body.
They certainly got a hold of a nice yeast stran because this has got plenty of clovey bananna fruitiness to it. Malts are slim. They are doughy and get mixed with a delightfull array of spices on the backside. Medium bodied and it cleans up very nicely. Slick mouthfeel gets sharpened by a bounty of medium sized carbonation. There is also a rather large lemony zest element that is welcomed. Solid, and this is not the typical "call it a hefe and make a wheat offering". This is styled after the genuine German Hefe.
Notes: These guys "can" brew good beer and this is an example of one. The problems lie in the quality control and consistency. Chalk this one up as a must have.
