Our German-style Festbier is a full-flavoured hopped amber lager. Upfront sweet malt and spicy rye are balanced by the pronounced orange and earthy flavours of Mandarina Bavaria hops. Bottom-fermented with patience for a crisp, clean finish. We’re putting craft back into lagers.

Brief head and no lace whatsoever. Caramel amber color and absolutely clear.
Malty with a toasty smell. There’s a light hop touch, just enough to provide some interest.
Excellent toasted flavor, very much like an amber ale. The hop is slightly disappointing in that it is one-dimensionally bitter. The body is rich, particularly for a lager (like a lighter Bock). The carbonation is low, which enhances the effect. The aftertaste is deep and mostly malty.

Clear amber with a smallish head. Malty nose with spicy rye notes. Medium-light body with crisp, tangy hoppiness on the tongue. Good drinkability.

Its golden amber body is brilliantly clear. Nearly three fingers of fluffy white head rests on top of this beautiful looking lager. It retains well, leaving thick chunky legs of lace behind.
Fresh, fleshy dough and biscuit are accented by honeyed graham cracker and caramel. Malted rye adds some light spice and weight. Its hop character is both grassy and herbal with a touch of orange peel.
The rye plays a bigger role in the taste, starting off rich and spicy. Honey, caramel, and fresh biscuit are laid out underneath. Bitterness soon follows and comes in just shy of astringent as it lingers past the finish. It's grassy and leafy with a stern dryness from the rye.
This sits comfortably on medium bodied. Slightly below average level of CO2 with a dry finish. The weight comes from both the rye and malt driven Maillard sweetness.
Overall a great, clean and balanced lager with plenty of complexity. My only complaint is the perceived bitterness in the finish being too dry and sharp for my personal taste.

A surprisingly flavourful brew courtesy of my in-laws who recently returned from the east coast. Spicy rye and nutty bread with grassy hops and toasted grains lingering alongside a hint of bitter citrus rind. Well crafted lager indeed.

This is not an attractive beer to me. the hop presence is to much accentuated for me.

Pours a crystal clear, amber body with an inch high, pearly white head. The smell is fairly faint, but what comes through are nice, light malts and floral hop aromas. The taste is very complex, with the grain and hops intertwining to form a wonderful bitterness. The feel following that is smooth, with the bitterness lasting a little while after, making it something good for curries and other bolder foods. Overall I really enjoy this one, and would buy it much more often if the price were a little less in NL.

Sent to me by Lee Russell, the King of BeerTube. A orange, slightly hazy body with a bright white, bubbly head. Huge hop notes for a lager. A bit of caramel, toffee, biscuit maltiness, tropical and citrus fruits. Huge pine and earthy hoppiness. A crisp, clean beer from an up and coming NS brewery.
