Hurricane IPA is an unfiltered, West Coast-style IPA. The simple grist was boosted slightly with light additions of Crystal 45 L and Munich malt, giving the beer a light orange/copper colour. Hopped extensively with Amarillo and Comet, the brew features flavours and aromas of “fresh cut grass, pine, ripe melon, zesty grapefruit, and Tim Horton’s peach juice” (now that’s specific!), with a dry finish

Poured from the can. Color is orange-amber with significant haze. The head is generous and lingers. Taste is of orange and pine. It is not overly sweet in my opinion, and the bitterness is definitely there. Feel is nice, a bit oily and resinous, but thin. Overall, this brew is in many ways better than many highly rated West-coast style IPAs. It just works. Don't sleep on the Dartmouth beer scene.

Hazy copper with a strong head. Strong citrus hop nose. Medium malt body with a good hop presence on finish. A good IPA.
