SRM 1-2 (pale straw) with a foggy haze. Occasional large bubbles of carbonation burst upwards to reinforce a brief, one-inch, rocky, white head. A patchwork of lace forms on a PBGC Spun Pint glass. The head ultimately is resolved to a thick ring.
This one smells like a hay loft, with lemons. Warmth transforms that aroma to something similar to a half-n-half tea/lemonade. While pleasant, the aroma diverges from the style guide.
This tastes similar to half-n-half as well. Sourness is very light, which is interesting in contrast to the strong tartness. Similarly, the bitterness is light, while the sweetness is strong. Lemons come through very clearly. The finish is brief, modest, and tart.
A light body with polyester texture. Carbonation is quick and full at first, then gradually settles to light and fizzy. Warmth mutes the flavors.
This is a nice, refreshing beer for a summer afternoon. It has lots of flavor, while being simple and relaxed. I enjoyed it while listening to quiet music out on the deck early one summer afternoon.
