12oz can. Poured out a clear, amber color with a khaki-colored head of foam. It smelled of spicy rye bread, toasted caramel and malt. It was spicy and sweet with a sharp bitterness.

Good looking beer. A lot of rye in the nose with subtle hoppy citrus and earthiness. Flavor is weak on the bitterness and the citrus is definitely not strong. Nice rye flavor. Unfortunately in the finish it tastes a tad under attenuated. Nice body and carbonation.

As the official RyeHermit(T) of MN, it falls on me to drink any- and everything with rye in it. And I enjoy my duty…most days. 12 oz. can, the first Able I’ve inserted into my body.
The pour is clear (holy haze hell, is it legal to see through a beer?), very light copper, with a big white ‘fro atop the brew. Tons of earthy & spicy rye up in that nose; just what I seek, next to enlightenment & the free lifetime airline tickets.
Party Room is all rye, no IPA. Spicy slap (that should have been a Spice Girl) before the first liquid has rolled all the way down, & that’s the beer’s dominant characteristic by a long shot. Peppery, & as it warms, more of the earthiness removes its mask. Sharp & biting without any hop bitterness, with a soft malt finish. Party Room is right. This would be an easy one to sip while watching porn out by the grill in the spring.
As a rye beer this is a triumph, as a rye IPA it’s missing half of the designated assignment. Delicate, sharp, easy drinking. Very good brew.

Pours a clear copper color with a large ivory head that lingers and leaves lacing during the entire duration. Aroma is citrus and rye. Flavor is more malt forward than I prefer but has a nice hop finish. Feel is light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall a decent beer.
