Draft sample at the brewery, served in a flared flute taster glass.
Black with brownish edges, light tan foam that leaves a collar of lace in concentric rings.
Aroma is subdued, mild chocolate malt, not especially rich or roasty.
Taste is mild but pleasant, a light unsweetened chocolate and mild roastiness in the finish.
Light bodied and a little thin, on par with Guinness and the like.
Overall it was worth a try, not a bad seasonal to have around for St. Patty's Day.
