Hazy pale gold with an orange hue in the light. Flecks of spotty lacing in the glass and a finger of foam.
Earthy, floral, summer garden cucumber aroma. Dovetails nicely with the light peppery spice from the saison yeast.
Taste is firmly bitter with an assertive cucumber flavor, supple and smooth, with an interesting twinge of sweetness before the earthy hop bitterness takes over. Didn't really have an overt vegetal character, the cucumber purée was well blended. Very easy drinking and thirst quenching on a hot day. It came in handy after manning the smoker for 10 hrs. today.
