Two consecutive drafts at the brewery.
Hazy orange, nearly opaque with a compact layer of creamy foam. Drippy arcs of lacing in the glass.
Fruity mango and grapefruit aroma, pungent and not too sweet.
Taste is fruity with more grapefruit and tropical mango flavors, with a smooth and supple feel.
This was more refined and balanced while nailing the NE style very well. Thankfully it was nicely carbed and finished with a mellow dry bitterness that enhances it's refreshing drinkability. This is a lot more drinkable than the sweet, no-carb juice bombs out there.
Overall, this was great and possibly the best IPA from Hand of Fate yet. I hope this becomes a regular brew and isn't just a one-off experiment.
