Tasted as bad as it looked. It had no discernable taste what so ever. I think they take the name tangled roots to literally.

12 oz bottle.

Pours a dark ruddy brown. Thin tan head dissipates steadily but not completely. Thin layer of velvety tan foam is left on top of the beer.

Aroma is very malty with notes of nuts, dark bread, hints of cacao, and some light earthy hops.

Taste follows the nose with notes of dark bread, rich dark malts, slight hints of cacao and and earthy nuttiness. Quite nice. Almost no bitterness whatsoever.

Feel is light and drinkable. Semi-dry finish.

This is a very nice English Mild. I'm rather impressed given my prior interactions with this brewery's beers. Ill be picking this one up again.

Draft at the brewery, quick review from notes.
Saturated tawny copper color, thin layer of foam and spotty lace. Looks nice, also to style.
Aroma is mild, lightly nutty malt and somewhat dry.
Taste is similar, easygoing with a light nutty malt flavor and a subtle dry finish.
Light bodied and easygoing, as an English Mild should be.
Overall this was perfectly cromulent, no flaws and fairly enjoyable.

Dark copper with tan cap and lacing. Mild malts, nuts, and a touch of mild dark bread. Plain tasting grainy malt with a touch of cocoa and caramel, bland. Feel is watery, even for this easy drinking style. Just doesn't get me excited
