Dark mahoghany brown, black in the glass. Sheets of lacing around the edges, broken surface skim after a couple sips.
Aroma is a touch metallic at first, which fades into roast malt, chocolate and mild coffee. No noticeable coconut.
Taste is bittersweet chocolate, molasses, a hint if coconut way in the background. Lingering mild bitterness in the aftertaste, metallic yeast twang. Mildly astringent, light bodied with a slight creamy texture.
Not perfect but pretty good. Lacks intensity, but drinkable. Good to see this brewery trying out some rotating seasonals.

Had on tap. Roasted black with a light brown head and lacing. Smell is laced with roasted malts, dark chocolate, and coconut. Simple yet intense. Taste however adds dark roast coffee, earth, a slight touch of vanilla, caramel and dark fruit, but the triad from the smell still leads powerfully, it is really enjoyable. Feel is frothy, roasted, medium bodied, and smooth. Best beer by TR I have had yet by far!
