Hossack's Scotch Ale is a tribute to the Scottish abolitionist John Hossack, who once called Ottawa IL home. This rich and full-bodied beer is brewed with a blend of malted barley & specialty grains, giving it a deep caramel color & a complex flavor profile with notes of toffee & dried fruit.

Canned 11/21/24; drank 3/3/25 @ the Yarchives.
Murky brown/orange appearance.
An even pour yielded a small khaki head; decent lacing remained.
Caramel, banana & faint leather notes in the nose.
Creamy medium thick mouthfeel.
Caramel & banana flavors; mild cream & faint leather notes on the finish.
A solid Scotch Ale; I'd have another.
