From a 32-oz. Squealer poured vigorously into a 16-oz. mug produces a short lived fizzy white finger of head with no lace. A ring persists, a little swish brings back a cap. The color is between straw and light golden yellow, Kristalweizen clear.
The smell features banana, clove, faint vanilla and baked wheat bread and bread dough.
The taste is semi-sweet and moderately spicy and bitter. Apple is added to the items from the smell, plus an increased wheat and barley malt presents. Hop flavor is faint and herbal, balanced by the clove. Spice and bitterness build at the semi-dry and crisp finish. A spicy aftertaste lingers.
Medium body, bolstered by the malt, ample carbonation throughout.
Brewery fresh, the flavors sparkle, the feel is lively and the spice is bold yet not overpowering.
