Pours an opaque, pale ruby coloration with a medium, fluffy, pink head. Smells of rasperry, guava and much lighter blueberry aromas, with some citric acidity also coming through. Taste is dominated by fruity raspberry and guava notes with just the merest hint of blueberry and a distinct lactic/citric acidity. Finishes with a medium acidity and some raspberry and guava lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While this is not a Gose, it does make for an excellent Kettle Sour and that's what I will rate it as. Quite fruity, with an excellent raspberry and guava aroma and flavor as well as a perfect acidity and very little sweetness coming through. One-dimensional, sure, but that's only according to style and this actually makes for a rather refreshing and enjoyable example of it.
