Copenhagen 21/1 2024. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. Gamma's usual design with a motif og some hot burning ground with lave running beneath.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. Settles as thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with dark, sweet malts mingling with a distinct smoky scent. Subdued sweet toffee and caramel. Burnt birch, peat and a hint of bacon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, a bit greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense Wirth s medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Fine and pretty light Smoky Porter.
