Copenhagen 1/8 2021. 44 cl can from Vinens Verden, Slotsgade, Odense C. Can has an abstract design with what looks like a Red Sea with Northern Lights hovering above.
Pours clear dark amber with a mid-sized off-white head. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong malty and toasted odor mingling with more subtle citric notes. Caramel, toffee, toasted malts. Citrus and lemon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly ting, texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Not very Imperial but fairly light and easy to drink. Reminds me a bit of a Black IPA.
