Copenhagen 5/12 2019. 44 cl can from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus (formerly Gunnar Madsen Vinhandel), Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. Painting of weird animals with a shining red eye on the can. Painting kept in blue, murky nuances.
Pours hazy, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense, sweetly boozy and with strong citric notes. Fermented exotic fruits. Peach, mango, papaya. Sharp grape fruit, citrus fruit and lemon.
Light carbonation. Thick, soft, creamy, smooth texture. Lightly tingling.
Flavor is intense and balanced between a medium strong sweetness and a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is citric and bitter with a boozy sweetness in the finish.
Perfectly pleasant DIPA with a notable intensity and a good balance between the sweet and the bitter.
