It's not all hop juice from Gamma! This is their latest Imperial Stout to hit the cans – brewed on a solid base of seven different malts, but the beer is also brewed with almonds and vanilla which gives it a really nice taste. So grab your nearest almond cube and enjoy!

Copenhagen 6/2 2020. 44 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Dark Blue can with strange figures drawn in light blue.
Pours opaque dark brown with big beige head. Pretty stable. Settles as 2,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, very very sweet almost able to cover the odor of alcohol. Cake-like sweetness, vanilla, brown sugar, hints of marzipan. Sweet, portvine, boozy odor rummaging in the background.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, soft, a bit sticky, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet followed by a light sour twist. Aftertaste is sweet and sugary. Lingering. Finish is with a solid boozy burn.
Reminds me of a very sweet birthday cake drenched in alcohol. Well made but not my kind of beer.
