- End of Summer/ Fall Maine Trip 2021 -

We arrived in Kennebunkport around noon on this Friday after Labor Day Weekend. Summer is slowly fleeting and the New England Fall has begun to make its presence known. Typical for our northern getaway excursions, I did some brief research and Alisson's was tops on the list.

We stopped by for lunch and the vibe inside was bustling, we briefly waited at the host table and were seated up on the top level. The top area features wooden table tops and chairs with nice natural lighting from the ceiling windows.

After using the bathroom I made my way to the table where the waitress was waiting for my drink order, I was officially "on the clock" and ultimately decided on a Maine Beer Company Lunch 16 oz. draft.

The draft list is impressive, featuring 23 taps that "rotate often". Offerings from Lawson's, Orono Brewing, Bissell Brothers, Allagash and Rising Tide were among the highlights. The encore to my first selection was an Allagash 'The Daring Man' that left me galvanized and satisfied.

Alisson's focuses on quality - check out the menu for food options. My lobster roll was fresh and the Lobster Bisque was undoubtedly the best I've ever had, featuring massive chunks of lobster meat.

Service was solid and attentive

Shortly after we paid the check and began to exit the restaurant an Otis Redding song began to play through the speakers, adding the perfect exclamation point to a splendid lunch experience.

So I added this place four years ago and I have been there many times since, most recently last week, for a guys weekend during covid. First of all, they have become a top notch craft beer bar in the years since I first went there. Their tap list is huge, and has the best Maine craft breweries represented. Great pub food, including lobster rolls and a decadent lobster poutine. They handled covid safety precautions very well. That being said. No one go there because I want this place all to myself.
