Alewife and I hit Idletyme on 13AUG18. We walked the approx 2.5 miles from center Stowe on the recreational path to get here... lovely day; warm breeze, low 80's... sat out in their Biergarten and each had 2 of this - $6.25 per.
Poured into a shaker pint, it was a dull, medium amber, with some haze within. Had a thin, creamy white head which lasted well, with nice lace. Clove and banana filled the air; a pleasant aroma, indeed! The body was a good medium, and it was not rough at all on the tongue.
Taste had light sweetness, with hints of toffee. Banana action was solid, with clove lurking in the shadows. Crisp, dry and quite refreshing on a lovely Summer day! Prosit!

Had on tap. Hazy shades of orange body, white head that fades into a cap. Smells of banana, orange, slight bubblegum all backed by wheat. Taste adds lemon and is more fruit forward, especially the banana, wheat, mild bubblegum, clove and a kiss of earth finish. Feel is smooth and bright, the wheat is not particularly strong and it thins out a little through the sip

This was poured into a weizen glass. The appearance was a hazy/cloudy burnt yellow to orange color with a thin white foamy head that quickly dissipated to a film coating the top of the beer. The smell has all of the normal qualities of a hefeweizen, perhaps just a tad weaker on the banana esters, still, nice spicy clove runs the gamut on the aroma. The flavor brings it all together nicely with a nice little bit of a spicy kick on into the aftertaste and slides into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a spectacular sessionability about it. Carbonation rides low and allows a slight stickiness to beat on my tongue. Overall, good hefeweizen for the most part, could have again.
