Our Porter lies somewhere between a Black and Robust style of Porter. Dark malts dominate the body and the aroma of Vanilla Bean floats to the nose.

Brown with no head and no lacing. Aroma is bi on vanilla, light caramel and chocolate. Flavor has even more vanilla, too much. Mouthfeel is light, thinner than I think this style should have. Not a good beer in my opinion.

22 oz. bomber.
Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head over a dark brown body with some thick lacing. Nice head will last to the end with a swirl or two. Nose of vanilla, slight roasted malt, and even slighter chocolate. Nice taste of vanilla, malted milk, and chocolate. Good feel and overall, a pleasant surprise, as this was bottled 1/10/17. Cheers!!!

Poured into an English pub glass, the appearance was a dark brown color with a lasting finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head. Dissipation left at a good pace. Some moderate thin to semi-thick lacing clung and spider webbed in a good way. The aroma started off with the vanilla bean up front, light and dry with a roasted coffee bean edge. Subtle milk chocolate. The flavor takes the vanilla sweetness to round out nicely with the roasty coffee. Milk chocolate falls in deeper. Smooth sweet and roasty aftertaste, dry roasty smooth finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation hits just right leaving no stone left unturned in a damn nice smoothness rolling across my tongue. Overall, really nice porter that I could have again. Everything fits!

Look: Looks like a diet coke in a glass. Sort of watery, no head. Not the most impressive looking Porter.
Smell: Vanilla, chocolate. Water.
Taste: Same as the nose. Seems watered down.
Feel: Very thin, watery mouth feel.
Overall: Not very impressed with this one. It's like someone took a cup of water and poured it into my craft brew. Feels like if Natty Ice made a porter. Would be OK for a college freshmen party, but not for my tastes. 4/10.
