Pours a medium brown, kind of an auburn. Toffee on the nose. It's super drinkable with light roast coffee, nuttiness, and some toffee coming through. Really perfect after a day combatting the snow. Excellent brown ale.

 

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a muddy brown color with a nice finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Messy lace. The aroma sits tight around some crisp roasty to sweet nuts. Full caramel sweetness around the malts patting down layers of toffee and chocolate. Grassy hops to balance. The flavor leans towards the sweet side exacting upon a well balanced flow from hops to malts. Smooth flow from hops to malts constructing the aftertaste and sliding into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fantastic sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt good where the brewer intended. Overall, extremely well done English styled brown ale heading into Spring, of course I would have this again.
