(bottle # 15) 22 oz. -color is mahogany with a faint haze and a wispy foam cap that dissapates quickly. The aroma is of toffee, with a candi sugar note. The flavor is rich and sweet. Figs, caramel and a slight woody influence accompany the Belgian yeast. The finish is a bit sticky. This is as expected and tasty.

Bottle number 120.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown color with a light transparency around the sides of the glass. Head didn't want to stay no matter how many times I tried to pour it, in turn there wasn't any lace.
The aroma had a nice smooth to sweet blend of figs, raisins, Belgian sugars, brown sugar, some earthy to root-like character then developing some caramel smooth sweet tones with a light candied red apple tone underneath.
The flavor leaned into the sweetness initially of all of those prior mentioned aromas but slyly moved the spicy portion for a "wanted" balance. Still, it mainly sat in the background. Semi-sticky candied apple, fig, raisins and Belgian sugar in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. It's not cloying but had a decent stickiness in the feel that I could see how a fair amount of people probably wouldn't like. ABV felt on par. Carbonation felt mostly good, maybe if it was kicked up just a pinch perhaps it would have cut down on some of the stickiness. Still, a nice fig to raisin sort of finish.
Overall, this beer actually does the trick for a nice Winter warming sort of Belgian dark ale, aromas and flavors are quite nice.
