Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a nice looking semi-murky yet pale orange woody color with a rocky off white foamy head that died off to a finger's worth of a level cap of a head. Sustained at a nice pace before dissipating further and had a nice clingy filmy to semi-bubbly looking lace running around the glass.
The aroma had a wonderful blend of sweet melon, citrus, sweet pine needles and a sweet cracker-like malt. Some bitter edges of a light citrusy rind trying to flex their strength in this. Did they? To me, somewhat, I felt like I was really pulling trying to get the citrus rind. If anything, it smells like "freshly picked pine needles" the most.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a semi-dry maltiness trying to make a fair play in the entire make up. It's a clean malt in which I like without barely any flaw. Really nice aftertaste of the hops and malts; somewhat sweet with an enduring maltiness and sturdy hop bloom.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Somewhat of a sweet piney, semi-dry and crisp sort of finish allowing the citrus to exit a bit more here.
Overall, well, it looks like a blonde/golden ale with the attributes of a well brewed one, nice and clean with very little flaw all around. It's one that's easy to take down with some burgers, BBQ, simple pizza and wings if one wanted to.
