Bottle dated 2/20/19.
This was poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black towards the center. But having reddish amber hues along the side of the glass. Semi-sustaining finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head, really took its time in dissipating. Once it did, boy oh boy, what a great looking filmy coated lace roaming all around my glass.
The aroma was exceptionally awesome! Such a beautiful blend of sweet milk chocolate layers rolling through some sweet grain/sweet oats mixing it up with some dark chocolate nibs/cocoa powder. Light roast rolling through some coffee beans and an ever so slight of a touch of marshmallow fluff.
The flavor was excellent - combining the sweet oats/sweet grain to milk and dark chocolate. Subtle layers of sweet coffee beans come in very nice. Semi-sticky aftertaste of milk chocolate and dark chocolate, touch of sweet grain/oats.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionable sort of quality about it. Though some stickiness did come out, nothing was cloying. I tend to expect many milk/sweet stouts to have some stickiness to them. Mild finish of sweet smooth milk and dark chocolate.
Overall, very nice milk/sweet stout, definitely one to seek out again this time of year.
