Pours an almost opaque super dark orange-brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, caramel, earth, and char aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, char, and earth flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with very roast and char forward flavors.

Looks dark but drinks much lighter. Great tasting porter
