Pleasantly surprised. Very bready straight from the bottle but livens up when poured. It is fruitier and hoppier than one might expect. More reminiscent of a Sterling Premium Pilsner than the more average fare.

12 ounce bottle. Served in a pilsener glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy dark gold color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention is decent, but there isn't much lacing at all. The brew smells mostly like bready/grainy malt and some light apple and herbal hops. Taste is just like the aroma. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and has low/moderate carbonation. It's an OK brew overall, but it's not like I was expecting much at $4.99 a 6-pack. At that price I'm not complaining!

Served in a pilsener glass
A - This beer pours pale yellow in color. Thousands of tiny bubbles rise to feed the inch of white head perched on top.
S - At first I get a refreshing lemon-lime aroma. Then I start to notice a butter smell.
T - The taste is refreshing. I get some lemon zest, but there is the butter again. It is distant, but it is there. Weird. It has a clean finish.
M - Moderate with plenty of carbonation
O - This is somewhat refreshing. The buttered popcorn aspects are not that pleasant.

Appearance - slight haze to an otherwise lemony-gold brew. Head is creamy and thick-looking and does a nice job of laying down some lace patterns on the glass.
Aroma - adjunct grain. Given this sample is a bit dated but I get a whiff of fruity grain, a wisp of citrus and nothing more.
Taste - decent enough grain opening, but little to no Saaz presence. A little nip as the palate dries but nothing spicy. Some mild lemony notes, the beer tastes okay just not very pilsnery.
Mouthfeel - full, fluffy, somewhat crisp, a note of smoothness.
Overall - easy to drink, just not hitting the style like I'd hoped. Maybe a fresher sample and I'll come back to update.
