On-draught @ the brewery.
American pale ale. 6% ABV. Brewed with coriander and sweet orange peel. "Augmented by bold Cascade hops."
Pleasantly floral in hop character with an apt pale malt backbone and hints of wildflower honey.
Stupidly drinkable albeit overcarbonation. Any Cascade pale ale invites comparisons to Sierra Nevada's expression of thereof, and this is the rare beer that actually holds up. The candied citrus flavour imparted by sweet orange peel gives it some oomph to set it apart from the crowd.
Not too bitter. Very approachable enjoyable fare, though I do think I'd sooner buy Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for sheer drinkability and commitment to the hops. The use of spices in this is interesting but feels like a crutch.
