Purchased in 16.9oz bottle yesterday, only noticed upon opening that the bottled on date was in May 2017 (14 months ago).
As you'd expect the age did some harm to the look and feel, while the aroma and flavor survived better.
Very thin layer of off-white foam, quickly disappeared with zero lacing. The liquid itself was a dark mahogany. Aroma was sweet, the chocolate and nuttiness was evident. Taste followed similarly, a fairly pleasant brown ale. Thin body, very low carbonation (again, it's over a year from bottling). Would give a second try if I come upon a fresher sample. Cheers!
So 2 years later, I've got another bottle, this one from January, so 8 months old. The aroma and foam retention were much better this time, and perhaps too much carbonation. Overall I like this one more than the first sampling, still it won't inspire a rush to find it again right away.
