Canned 11/27/19.
Straw yellow hazy pour. Head is soft and frothy, rising to about a quarter inch. As it falls some weak patterns of lace decorate the inside of the glass.
Underripe mango comes through, along with an abundance of pineapple and grapefruit. Subtle nuances of sweet malt play in the background along with subtly grassy hops.
On the palate is just a solid, no-bullshit imperial IPA. The mango is a tad milder than I would have preferred, but with a month and a half on it I can’t speak to how it was fresh. Pineapple really comes through, as well as orange peel and zesty lemon. The hops are softer but lightly grassy, serving as a pleasant contrast.
Medium-bodied, with a fairly low, effervescent carbonation. Drinks very smooth for the ABV, hardly any hints of that 8.2% ABV present.
