Pours a large frothy foamy bubbly off-white head with moderate retention, good soapy lacing, decent legs, dark but clear mahogany reddish brown
Nose sweet candy malts and candi sugar, toffee, little nutty, fair spices like nutmeg and hint of cinnamon, sweet caramelized sugars, dark fruits like fig date, dried cherries, light perfumey alcohol
Taste rich malt and caramelized sugars, some caramel, brown sugar, toffee, with more dried dark fruits again fig date and cherry, a little chocolate and nutty, light perfumey alcohol, holiday spices again with nutmeg and very light cinnamon, a touch spicy, slight sticky finish
Mouth is med to fuller bod, a bit rich almost chewy, medium to higher carb, light warming alcohol but hidden fairly well
Overall nice holiday beer, good use of spices without overpowering although the cinnamon could come through a bit more, nice fruits and caramelized sugars, light alcohol warmth, a good winter holiday beer

Pour is a nice dark amber, white head with good lacing. Smells of dark fruits, nice Belgian spices. Good flavors, dark sweetness, cherries and plums and caramel candi. Sweetness is balanced and has a good body. Nice beer!
