Picked up a can from Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont. 2 weeks old. Not much head, some floaties. Decently fruity but not overwhelming NEIPA.

Served in a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Cloudy yellow-golden color with a 4F head. Average head retention.
Aroma: mostly dank. Some citrus and pineapple.
Taste: excellent. Lot of citrus, some pineapple, but not some of the other flavors indicated on the can: I am not tasting gooseberry and there is a little melon.
Moderately hoppy- not as hoppy as suggested on the can.
Excellent IPA, but not as good as some of the other beers from the brewery. An emphasis on dankness in the aroma.
The suggested flavor profile doesn't seem to come through. However, it's worth trying.

Pint can 6/2?? "Lizard"
Poured it into my longstem Treehouse ipa glass.
Clumpy and cloudy looking burnt orange and gold color. Opaque. Dense white foam holds on tight, dissipates to leave plenty of foamy coverage. Circular foamy lace sticks around.
The hoopy aromatics is really impressive. The Citra hop showcase brings out pine tree sap sweetness, tangy orange, peppery pineapple, ripe grapefruit and honeydew melon. The malt had a grainy, but honey sweet smell. Citra nose at it's best.
Along with the extra thick and hazy appearance is an amazingly smooth and plush mouthfeel and texture. Very fresh, decent crisp bite but DAMN is it ever smooth and round going down!!
Oh snap, the flavor man....the flavor!! A rustic, earthy and grains taste hits first, golden wheat and light pilsner like malty tones sets the stage. The Citra hop complexity of flavor is stunning, layer after layer of various hoppy flavor's pop out: Black pepper and earthiness, wet grass and dried wheat, pineapple, honeydew melon, prickly pear with a grapefruit-like bitter and earthy bite right at the end that really brings it all together. The last bit of hoppy bite going down is most 7impressive with a mix of sweet fruits, citrus and bitter grapefruit kick. So fresh and solid. Tastes like a massive amount of freshly crushed up hops in the glass. Raw hop complexity is awesome. A NE Ipa at it's very best!!
