A: Pours a golden color. What I would expect from a Helles lager.
S: There are both notes of baked bread and hints of floral smells in the aroma.
T: Taste is malt forward with a slight bitterness at the end.
M: Light body, easy to drink.
O: Pretty decent take on a Helles. I give it a 3.75.

Served without a head, only rim bubbles. I do get some short lived spots on the glass. The color is straw with an almost imperceptible green hue. There's a light haze.
More graininess than the Bavarian versions of Helles, and therefore, less pale malt to the nose. Otherwise, a close clone to the real thing.
The flavor has a distinctly sour presence as if there's some lingering Brett from another batch. The tasting is a bit softer (meaning more pale malt) than the nose. It also has less raw barley grain on the tongue. It leans thin, appropriately so. The carbonation is slightly high. Short aftertaste with more of the sourness lingering longer than the rest of the flavors.

Canned I think 3/14/19, but the month is smudged
Pours a very large foamy bubbly head with medium retention as it fades semi quickly, a little lacing, slight chill haze mostly clear light pale straw color
Nose lots of grainy-sweet doughy malt, grainy pilsner malt and lots of it, big malty with a soft complex lager maybe decoction, light floral herbal hops, touch of corn
Taste more grainy-sweet doughy biscuity malt, loads of pilsner malts, light corn that increases a bit as it goes, DMS is OK in the levels, gets a bit on the sweet side with medium to lighter bitterness, floral herbal German noble hops, turning a bit drier on the finish with a nice crisp hop bitterness increasing to a medium slightly higher bitterness, soft lager with some depth, lingering slight spicy hop
Mouth is med bod, a bit lighter with soft lager, medium-high slight effervescent carb
Overall pretty nice, well done Helles good German pilsner malts and noble hops, nice level of bitterness, good soft lager, DMS gets a bit high but OK for the level of pilsner malt in there, sweetness also get a bit high and could use a little more attenuation, but otherwise enjoyable and well done, another one for me to add to the drink whenever list

Poured from the can at Atwood's Tavern. Wanted an easy drinker to go with chicken/mashed potatoes. It was serviceable but not really amazing.

Lamplighter is one of my favorite breweries.
They are what New England Craft beer is all about.
Innovation, flavor and hopefully- consistency.
I have never had a so-so beer from their brewery.
I buy all of their beers.
Look: semi cloudy light golden color, 2F head. Pilsner glass,
Excellent aroma: biscuity, very malty- you know this is a lager.
MF: Dry, crisp, which follows through to the moderately bitter finish.
Taste: similar to the aroma- malty and biscuity.
Overall: excellent approach to a Helles lager.
