Cloud City is a New England-style IPA, hopped 100% with Strata®, an Oregon- grown variety sourced through Crosby Hop Farm. On the nose, intense aromas of melon and guava accompany notes of bright citrus, producing an alluring tropical bouquet that gives way to a thick and pillowy body. Well balanced, the fruit-forward flavors of this ale are tempered by a light and lingering bitterness. Named after the floating metropolis featured in Star Wars.

Loved my first 2 from Lamplighter, let's see if this is memorable. (it is!)
A) True to it's name: Cloudy, cloudy murk golden, clouds of lace and streaky cap.
S) Dank, weedy, citric.
T) Grapefruit and grass are added to the mix, massive, peppery hop bitterness
F) Dry. Bitter finish and length aftertaste.
O) Great grassy brew

Cloudy, leaving a white hued, dirty gold color. Modest head with streaky lace left on the glass.
Dank and weedy. Plenty of hop bitterness to the nose. Strong enough to cover the malt.
High carbonation but with a decent body. Grapefruit is predominant with a hop forward bitterness. Not as weedy as the smell but there’s still some grassy flavors. I get a bit of pale malt is the background. Dry. Bitter finish and length aftertaste.

Smells hoppy and fruity for sure, but the taste really shines. Lots of tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, orange juice fades to a dank herbal citrus rind quality.
A full bodied carbonation and slight prickly bitterness and it comes to a somewhat dry finish with some nice lingering flavors.
Overall a very tasty IPA, I'm happy to keep drinking this one!

Golden orange color with a 2F head.
Strong pine, melon, and orange aroma.
Excellent taste: melon, pine, guava? and orange.
Very tangy MF with an excellent spicy hoppy finish.
One of the best IPAs from Lamplighter and one of my favorite hops.

No date on the can so I can’t tell if it’s fresh (big no no for me). 4 at best! Citrus, pine, malt.

Pours a large foamy frothy 1.5 finger pillowy head with moderate retention, soapy lacing, very hazy cloudy tangerine-orange color with a touch of hazy light coming through
Nose is ripe with tropical fruits, mango, papaya, little citrusy, touch of earthiness, light sweet malts
Taste brings a ton more tropical fruit with loads of mango out front, like big mango juice, as well as papaya, a little guava, some citrus as well and a touch of stone fruit peachy like, med sweet malts, a bit creamy and juicy, very light bitterness, some tropical rind notes later, hint of minerals and soft chalk-like notes, drier finish with a bit more bitterness, lingering tropical fruits
Mouth is med bod, a bit creamy and juicy, soft, med foamy carb
Overall not bad, it def ramps up the tropical fruits and makes the style enjoyable again
