Lamplighter beers are not consistently good. I tasted Honalee last week and it was great.
You never know with them.
Not bad. Very sharp pineapple taste. A bit off. Not a traditional IPA flavor. The Sabro and Loral hops are interesting, but some of the newer hops aren’t my style. Not one of better Lamplighter beers.

Canned 7/23/20
Pours a light fizzy bubbly head with med-low retention, cloudy hazy med orange color
Nose brings plenty of pineapple, generic tropical fruit, a lot like Hawaiian punch, touch of doughy creamy malt and flaked proteins, touch of vanilla, don't really get spices though
Taste again brings loads of pineapple, less so Hawaiian punch this time but it's there, juicy pineapple, a bit more generic tropical, some light citrus almost tangelo or nectarine kinda thing, citrus pith in the center, a touch of rind as well, mild sweet doughy malt with flaked wheat or oats, some water softeners gives it the pillowy juicy taste, light Christmasy spices way on the back end, a little honey and vanilla notes as well, then hops get a little spicy and green on the finish
Mouth is med bod, soft juicy, med to a bit higher foamy carb
Overall not bad, big pineapple which is what they wanted to do, decent base NEIPA although the hops get a little green and spicy late, spices are way too mellow but that might be a good thing as they would probably mess with the beer, but I still don't really know why they were added in the first place
