Bright gold color and crystal clear. Smaller head but it leaves a thick ring of lace initially. Ample spots thereafter.
The grain is present, but I would describe it as more malty. Light flowery hop.
Tastes closer to a lawnmower beer than the smell lets on. Grainy with a thin body and an elevated carbonation level. Decent hop finish but the aftertaste remains brief.

Can. Pours a clear yellowgold. Bubbly, sudsy head. Mild lacing. Looks like a good ol' adjunct lager but with a deeper hue. The can says Mexican Style Lager, but I see this is called a Vienna Lager. Maybe that's what most Mexican Style Lagers are, but I find those two style to be quite different in my mind. This looks, smells, tastes a lot lighter than a Vienna. Really approachable aroma and flavor. A nice combination of sweetness and lager yeast elements. I enjoy that the hop presence is almost nil. No frills, fairly crisp, sweeter (but not too sweet) lager. Has a surprising amount of body to it, which is nice; slows me down and let's me realize I spent like $15 on 4 Mexican Lager cans... They did a nice job balancing sweet and malty; they're different. I honestly think this is one of, if not, the best beers I have had from Lamplighter. Go figure.

Pours a med fizzy bubbly head with med retention, a bit of lacing, very clear honey blond color, def could use a bit more amber color
Nose is nice, soft corn/maize, mild grainy sweet cereal like malt, clean lager, little bread dough, though again not getting a ton of Vienna malts
Taste starts with some of Vienna like malts this time, a touch biscuity and grainy, but not the toasty sweetness at all, light corn characters, more like earthy maize in the background, crusty bread, low bitterness but a touch of herbal hops, hint of fruity esters in there, dry finish, soft crisp lager notes, touch of minerals lingering, and a weird bitterness that typically comes from Mexican lagers esp macro ones but not skunky or nasty
Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, med foamy carb
Overall not bad, nice easy drinking lager, well lagered, not much Vienna malts but then again they actually call this a Mexican style lager and their adaptation has much less Vienna than the original Vienna lagers, so this is OK for that
