Pours a quick and loud fizzy 1/2 finger tan head with lower retention, doesn't fade as fast as soda but not too far off, clear with lots of sediment auburn to a ruby-copper color
Nose is interesting starting with the apple cider, fresh apple cider but also a dry slightly funky farmhouse style yeast like, with a little earthiness and spice notes, a hint of cinnamon and vanilla in the background, and more general winter spice like a ginger cardamom thing, general fruity aroma and hint of citrus
Taste starts with a malted beer and cider combination again, grainy sweet malts with a little straw character, then dry apple cider, very dry actually, with a bit more of that earthy farmhouse yeast character, a touch of funk and some generic spices, a smooth vanilla in the background, with just a hint of cinnamon, and more of the generic winter spice flavors, a touch sticky, doughy malt as well, not much for citrus except maybe a suggestion on the back end, dry but sticky finish
Mouth is med bod, very dry, med foamy slight effervescent small-bubble carb
Overall enjoyable winter style beer/cyser, to sip next to fire with some homemade donuts or something
