16 oz can poured into a pint glass
Pours light in color but super saturated brown, with barely any highlight, and a 3 finger foamy British khaki head which leaves a thick ring of lacing.
Initial aroma is cocoa and roast coffee and/malt. Has a cooling earthy scent to it, reminds me of a lake.
Initial taste before swallowing is raspberry and a hint of coffee.
After swallowing I first get a hit of bitter roastiness, followed by charred chocolate fading into char in the middle and back of the mouth and light hop bitterness in the middle and front of the top of the tongue. These last 2 last into the finish, the hop bitterness becoming grassy.

Deep, dark brown—no light passes. It produces a beige head that hugs the edge of the glass. Only a few larger spots on the glass for lace.
Semisweet chocolate with a touch of chalk. Maybe some caramel (malt) and mild burnt toast smell.
Chocolate, more sweet than bitter, up front. Good carbonation too the otherwise rich body, a pleasant departure from the style. The taste darkens after the initial sip becoming more cocoa-like. Again, there’s a faint burnt toast presence. The aftertaste is short but well-blended.
