Great starting head that settles very quickly (within a minute). No lace. The liquid is lighter gold and nearly clear.
Mostly pale malt nose. There’s a light cardboard and sourness on subsequent whiffs. No notable hop.
There’s a brief malty sweetness but it dries out in the swallow. The body leans thin like the style suggests while the carbonation is somewhat elevated. The finish has an unusual flavor that is earthy and has the zest portion show up (not at all orangey, but has the bitter component of true zest). Short aftertaste.
