This beer is like a cross between a darker amber beer and a barley wine. It’s too dark with a notable alcohol warmth for the amber style. Yet while it has some ballerina sweetness, it’s not enough to be a solid entry in that category.

Minor head with fine rim bubbles remaining and only an occasional spot for lace.

The smell is most like brown bread with a touch of honey and hop spice.

Rich body with ample carbonation. Chewy. Despite straddling two beer styles, this is a well made beer worth seeking out.
