Ruby brown color where light passes through the edge. Small but lasting head. Random small spots and an occasional streak make up the lace.
Rather neutral smell. It’s almost devoid of any notable aromas. Faintly, some raisin and rum.
The taste starts quietly with basic darker malt flavors. The body is rich but not as much as most quads. Despite the (11.1%) abv, it doesn’t have a boozy feel. The payoff comes in the swallow. Interesting spice cake finish—sweet, chocolatey, and rum pound cake.
