The Quadless Leg Monster is a Belgian-style quad aged in Short Path Distillery whiskey barrels. It's big and unapologetic, with the dark fruit, caramel, and brown sugar notes you can expect from classic interpretations of this style. Clocking in at 9.5% ABV, we suggest you be careful with this one, it'll have you legless before you can say "malapropism" (also it may make it much harder for you to say and/or remember words like "malapropism").

2020 vintage
Pours a frothy creamy 1 finger off-white head with good retention, good lacing, hazy dark mahogany brown color
Nose lots of dark fruits, date, raisin, plum, figs, sweet dark candi sugar, a bit of molasses and almost rum like notes that is probably the whiskey and fruits combined, hint of baking spices, some vanilla barrel and actual whiskey as it warms
Taste brings more sweet flavors up front, dark candi sugar and caramel toffee, rich dark fruits as well with fig, date, plum, a hint of cocoa, some whiskey and a bit of rum as well, some oak and spice, vanilla, caramel toffee levels more like barleywine or American Strong, a hint of bitterness and hint of warming perfumey alcohol
Mouth is fuller bod, a touch syrupy, med to lower carb, light warming alcohol
Overall not bad, barrel was nice, Quad characters are a bit less than I expected

Pours a brownish reddish hue. I get brown sugar, plum, and a bit of fusel on the finish. This is a fine quad but it's a little lacking in depth. Not disappointing, just fine.
