Bone up brews some distinctive tasting beers. This is an excellent, smooth, and tasty Porter. Excellent look with a 4F head in a Stone imperial pint glass. Smoother and toasty with warming.

It's been awhile being the first to review a beer. The beer pours a slightly oily dark brown with a bit of a head and some lacing. It look good. Not much nose to this beer, maybe a little bit of caramel. No surprise since the beer is a caramel porter. The side panel gives you some sense of why the beer is called Ozzy and the inspiration for brewing it. As for the taste, this just isn't really a porter. This is more like a brown ale in that there are no dark malty warming notes, no chocolate flavors, etc. There isn't much going on with this beer, it's thin and doesn't have much character. It's kind of disappointing. It's not a bad beer for what it is, and the only thing I can definitely say is that there are caramel notes coming through. I'm not getting any chocolate or dark malts, or really too much to go on. Letting the beer settle really didn't make much difference. Another beer that I should not have bought the entire 4 pack. More beer to swap with friends. Nothing I want to hang on to.
