A Bohemian cellar-style (unfiltered) pils with a soft, herbal nose, clean body and a crisp finish, this is the style of beer that eventually evolved into American lager towards the end of the 19th Century. Historically, this was one of the world’s first “international collaboration” beers, combining pale malting technology from England, lager yeast from Bavaria and hops from Bohemia – and instantly became a world sensation under Bavarian Brewmaster Josef Groll, working in Plzen, a city in the modern Czech Republic. Our version is based on the brewery in České Budějovice, by the national brewery, Budějovický Budvar, which is also known as the “Czech Budweiser” using the German spelling.
It’s approachable, nuanced and refreshing…reminding us what an everyman beer can be.

I trust this is the same as their house pils, listed on the boards sans "Bohemian." If not, I will initiate a second listing.
Pours with a slightly warm tan color in the glass.
Low aroma. A touch chewy with less hoppiness and a more malt forward note than I expected.
Disappoints as it lingers. Perhaps a bad batch?
