Adolph Goetz, a former brewmaster at the Kusterer Brewing Company's City Brewery and Tusch Brothers' Cincinnati Brewery, established the National Brewery in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1886. He also served as the original brewmaster for Grand Rapids Brewing Company in 1893.
Today, we celebrate his work with a lighter, all-malt lager brewed with a touch of wheat...as he may have done, perfect for celebrating the end of a day's work on the West Side as part of our Brauhaus Series.

Slightly cloudy, unfiltered.
Similar in many ways to their pils, with a more rounded character. Low hopping, even as it warms. Pleasant finish. I could see a stein of this. Fantastic beer to finish on.
